AMLA, as an EU body, offers competitive salaries based on a basic scale for each contract type, function group, and grade [Salary | EU careers].
Staff members pay a European tax, which is deducted directly from their salaries. Deductions also cover sickness and accident insurance, pensions, and unemployment insurance. Salaries are exempt from national taxes.
Additional allowances may apply based on personal circumstances, such as expatriate status and/or parenthood.
Basic salaries and specific allowances are adjusted using a local weighting (correction coefficient) to account for the cost of living in Frankfurt, Germany, where AMLA is located. As of 1 July 2024, the weighting for Frankfurt is 102.2%.
AMLA’s employees benefit from flexible work arrangements and have the opportunity to enrol their children, free of charge, in Frankfurt’s European School. European Schools offer high-quality education, fosters multilingualism and cultural diversity, and provides an enriching international environment. You will find more info on our Why join us page.
